| General Terms |
| Before ordering or purchasing any merchandise it is your responsibility to make yourself conversant with our terms and conditions as set out on this page. Merchandise will always remain the property of Dolls Down Under until all monies due on that merchandise is paid in full.
Items that are priced $0.00 are not actually free, they are ones which we are awaiting price confirmation from our suppliers. Our pricing and the availability of items is always subject to change without notice. |
| Currency and the Goods And Services Tax |
| All prices shown on this site are in Australian Dollars (AUD). International buyers can use the currency converter at http://www.xe.com/ucc/.
Prices shown include the Australian Government's 10% Goods and Services Tax. This amount is deducted for overseas customers. |
| Pricing Policy |
| We generally charge less than the recommended retail price (RRP) where possible. For secondary market items, the pricing indicates the value of the item in recent auction sales, which is the best indicator we have as to the actual value of the item. If someone can show us a price for an item in similar condition elsewhere that is lower than ours, we'll do our best to match that price! |
| How To Order |
| Look through the catalogs available and click on the "Buy Me" logo to add the item to your shopping basket. Javascript is desired, cookies are required (see below for more about our use of cookies). |
| Pre-Orders |
| In order to accept a pre-order, we require a deposit for each doll that you want to purchase. This deposit must be received in full as outlined below.
Please choose carefully, as deposits are not transferrable from one item to another.
Deposits must be received in full within 14 days of placing your order to confirm your intent to purchase or the order will be cancelled automatically. If you cancel your order, the deposit will be forfeited. Once we receive the item you have ordered, you will be notified of its arrival by telephone, post or email. We will then hold your order for 7 days after which a letter will be sent via Registered Post requesting your attention to the purchase. Unless arrangements are made within 7 days from the date the registered letter is sent to conclude the purchase, the order will be cancelled and all deposits and payments will be forfeited. The prices shown for pre-release items are a guide only and may change at any time. If our suppliers change the price of an item that you have ordered before we have received it, we will advise you of the change by email. If the price increases, you will be given the option to cancel the order and have your deposit fully refunded or have your invoice adjusted and continue with the order. If the price decreases, we will credit your invoice accordingly. If our suppliers cancel or defer delivery of an item that you have pre-ordered, you will be advised by email or telephone. If the item is cancelled, we will automatically refund your deposit and any other payments made towards this item in full, or give you the option to transfer the amount to another purchase. If the item is deferred, you can choose to either receive the refund (or apply the payment to another item) or continue with the purchase. |
| Payment Options |
| We can accept Visa, Mastercard and Bankcard, although we do not have online credit card facilities and in truth, we don't like the idea of transmitting credit card information over the internet (for now). We will accept credit card information by fax or by telephone. Bank cheques and postal money orders are acceptable with no delays in shipping. Please don't send cash in the mail! By prior arrangement, we can also accept direct deposits. |

| Sale Items |
| While we would never send out a badly damaged or crushed box unless it was described as such, we do not guarantee box condition of sale items. All dolls are NRFB (never removed from box) and are shipped with the same care as regular priced merchandise. All sale items are considered final sales, sorry no returns or exchanges. |
| Shipping |

We take a lot of care with our shipping, so that the cost of helping your purchases find their new home is minimised. We do not skimp on packaging, because we know how fragile some items can be! Once you place your order, we will ascertain the best method of shipping the goods to you and will advise you of the available options and the costs involved.
Shipping to destinations within Australia usually takes at most 3 to 5 days. If we use a courier, the shipping is automatically insured and parcels can be tracked through the courier firm. If we use Australia Post, it may be beneficial to ask that the package be sent "Registered Mail". This will slightly increase the cost of shipping, but will allow the item to be found if it wanders. Shipping internationally takes longer and very much depends on the method chosen. |
| International Customers |
|
International customers (those outside of Australia) are responsible for any taxes and duty within their own country. No additional taxes and duties are charged from Dolls Down Under.
Invoicing is in AUD funds. The required customs forms that we fill out for shipping the item(s) will show Australian Dollars. We ship worldwide and will not falsify customs documentation by incorrectly specifying the contents or the value of the contents. All shipping rates for overseas customers will include insurance. |
| Privacy |
| Your privacy is important to us! We will only use the information that you provide to us for processing your order and helping your purchases arrive safely at their new home. We will NEVER supply your personal information to any agency or person unless we are required to do so by court order. We are not in the business of selling personal information - we sell dolls! (and Beanie Kids, and Russ Bears, of course!) |

While our shopping basket uses cookies, they only contain the information relating to the purchases you are making. Turn on verification of cookies and see the content for yourself! No information is extracted from your computer by our shopping system unless you enter it yourself.
We are working on allowing cookies to retain your details for the checkout, to save you having to re-enter your delivery information each time you order. You will have the option to do this or not: the choice will be yours. |
| Returns | |||
You must call for return authorization and shipping instructions within 2 days of receiving your merchandise. Unauthorized returns, COD's or failure to comply with our return instructions will not be accepted. Returns are generally not a problem, but we do reserve the right to refuse them. A restocking fee of 5% of the invoiced amount will also apply. Postage/Shipping costs are not refundable. You are responsible for the item until the item is back in our hands, so please insure it. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to read all company policies listed on this page prior to ordering and or returning merchandise.
